"Bird Bones" is a roaming act of two large marionette bird skeletons, finely sculpted from foam with anatomical accuracy, operated by a complex and visually intriguing system of commands that allows for extremely realistic movement. The bird puppets inhabit the space and interact with the audience, creating moments of great charm and high visual impact.
Animating these impressive prehistoric birds are two mysterious "pilots", who are also skeletons, dressed in black aviation suits, pilot caps and sunglasses.
These "mobile sculptures" are suspended from the pilots by a shoulder structure which allows for total manoeuvrability and interaction possibilities. The puppets are also equipped with an autonomous system of illumination making them particularly suitable for roaming interventions both in daytime and at night, not needing any external technical support.
